UNC football score vs. Miami: Recap updates from the ACC Coastal matchup

A key ACC Coastal Division game is set for Week 6.

UNC football (4-1, 1-0) will look to score its fourth straight victory over Miami (2-2, 0-0) as the Hurricanes open ACC play at Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday (4 p.m., ESPN2).

Miami might want a measure of revenge against a Tar Heels team that put up 778 yards of offense in their 2020 game behind an NCAA-record 544 yards rushing from Michael Carter and Javonte Williams. That's the most yards given up by any Hurricanes team in program history.

This year, the Tar Heels are led by freshman quarterback Drake Maye, who leads the nation in points responsible for (134) and ranks second in total offense (369.8 ypg).

Miami has a weapon on special teams with Key-Shawn Smith ranking second in the nation with 401 kick return yards.

UNC leads the all-time series against Miami 12-11 in a rivalry dating back to 1946.
