UNC lands commitment from three-star defensive back

Mack Brown and his UNC football team have landed another recruit.

On Sunday, three-star defensive back Tre Miller pledged his verbal commitment to North Carolina as he ended his recruitment. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound Miller hails out of Edmond, Oklahoma after transferring there this year and had 17 offers in his recruitment. But in the end, UNC stood out as he picked the Tar Heels over Arizona State, USC, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida State, and Duke among other offers.

Miller becomes the seventh player to join UNC for the 2023 class which now ranks No. 46 nationally. The Tar Heels now have two defensive backs committed as he joins Kaleb Cost.

As a three-star recruit, Miller is ranked No. 514 nationally, No. 52 defensive back, and the No. 6 player in the state of Oklahoma per the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

The Tar Heels still have several offers out to other recruits as Brown and his staff hope it’s a busy Summer in Chapel Hill.
