UNC quarterback Jacolby Criswell enters transfer portal

UNC sophomore backup quarterback Jacolby Criswell announced on Sunday that he will enter the transfer portal.

Criswell played in 13 games over two seasons at UNC, completing 18-of-31 passes for 204 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He also rushed for 133 yards and one touchdown on 20 attempts.

Criswell will have three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Leading up to the 2022 season, the biggest question around the Tar Heels football program was whether Criswell or Drake Maye would be the team's starting quarterback.

Maye won the battle and went on to become one of the top QBs in the country.

Criswell was ranked the No. 2 player in Arkansas coming out of high school and the nation’s 11th-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the 247Sports Composite.
