Unclaimed Powerball winning ticket sold in Hagerstown

Check your Powerball tickets if you got the Double Play option for this past Monday's drawing.

Someone who bought a ticket at the Sheetz at 191 Eastern Blvd. North has a $50,000 winner, according to a Maryland Lottery news release.

That prize hadn't been claimed as of Friday morning, according to Maryland Lottery spokesman Seth Elkin.

Powerball players can add the Double Play option for $1 to participate in a second drawing that occurs about 30 minutes after the main drawing, according to the Maryland Lottery. The top Double Play prize is $10 million.

The winning numbers in the July 3 Double Play drawing were 15, 37, 50, 55 and 69 with the Powerball being 9.

The lottery recommends winners sign the back of their tickets immediately and put those tickets in a safe spot, the release states. Winners have 182 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes.

No one won the Powerball jackpot on Wednesday, raising the estimated jackpot to $590 million, with a $304.8 million cash option for Saturday's drawing, according to Powerball.com.
