Unconscious woman rescued from house fire in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Medics took a woman to the hospital after crews rescued her from a house fire in North Kensington Friday.

Pete Piringer, spokesman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS), posted about the incident on Highview Avenue near Pendleton Drive on the X platform around 3 p.m.

A series of updates followed, and by 4 p.m., Piringer said crews saw smoke coming from the roof and doors of the home when they arrived. They found the woman unconscious in a bedroom and got her out of the house. They also found a dog and two cats that they helped get out.

Crews had the fire out by the time of Piringer’s 4 p.m. update.
