Uncork for a Cure returns Saturday
Metro Detroit restaurants and wine enthusiasts will showcase their talents from 6-10 pm. on Saturday in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The 7th annual Uncork for a Cure takes place at the M1 concourse and benefits the Dynami Foundation and its fight against breast cancer.
Expect culinary creations from award-winning chefs, world-class wines, music, art, track rides, plus live and silent auctions.
The event will feature a strolling dinner. This year’s event has 14 participating chefs including those from four new restaurants: Bar Pigalle, Basan, Barda, and Oak & Reel. Other restaurants participating are Mabel Gray, Chartreuse, Freya, SheWolf, Grey Ghost, Marrow, Karl’s, Rebecca Lamalfa, Motor City Seafood, and Cantoro Italian Market.

Wines featured at the event will be curated by Master Sommelier Madeline Triffon, known as the “first woman of wine” of Plum Market. Champagnes featured are from Möet Hennessy USA. Metro Detroit artist Mike Han will be live on-site painting a canvas for auction while Nicole Jarecz Illustration will be live sketches attendees. Uncork for a Cure, to date, has more than $1 million, according to event organizers.
General admission tickets for this year’s Uncork for a Cure are $375 and are available at dynamifoundation.org. VIP and sponsorship packages are also available.
