Undawn, Garena’s open-world mobile zombie survival game, launches on 29 June

The game will be available for pre-download on 27 June, with character customisation open.

Mobile zombie survival shooter Garena Undawn is almost here, and Singapore-based games publisher Garena is making the game available for pre-download on Tuesday (27 June).

The game will officially open on Thursday (29 June) and is set to launch on iOS and Android for players in Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand.

With over 10 million pre-registrations to date, many players are setting out to join the adventure. And if you’ve pre-registered or are looking forward to trying the game, we’ve got you covered.

Early registrants will receive exclusive in-game goodies as well as the chance to win fantastic prizes such as an iPhone and AirPods. Simply join Garena Undawn's pre-registration web event to participate in the AirPods giveaway.

Players can pre-register on the official Garena Undawn website, the App Store, and Google Play. Pre-registrants will be getting exclusive rewards such as a permanent Motorcycle and permanent M3 Shotgun Skin upon Garena Undawn’s official launch.

Players will be able to pre-download Garena Undawn on Tuesday (27 June) at 8pm Singapore time. Additionally, character customisation will already be open, so players can personalise their avatars based on how they want to look in-game.

The character customisation toolset is pretty flexible and diverse, so players can tweak facial features, scars, clothing, body type, accessories, and more.

There’s also the in-game AR feature, where players can use the in-game AR camera to construct characters from their own selfies and the vast character customisation choices.

Gameplay

Garena Undawn features a massive and immersive open-world map with scattered random events. Players will also get to experience using their character for survival skills such as hunting, riverside fishing, cooking and exploring.

To add to the realistic survival gameplay, players need to manage 12 biological metrics, including emotions, metabolism, and physique, which change based on environment and personal behaviour.

There's also a home-building feature where players can have a homestead within the camp premises. The homestead can be upgraded to defend against zombie invasions along with their campmates or to add comfort and style to their own homes.
