The first trailer for stylish crime drama Culprits has dropped, teasing an intense ride that will glue viewers to their seats.

Set to be released on Disney+ in the UK, the eight-part series takes a look at what happens after a high-stake heist once the gang of criminals have gone their separate ways.

As they're trying to build new lives, protagonist Joe (Candyman's Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) and the rest of his criminal pals are hunted by a ruthless killer who wants to get rid of them, one by one.

The trailer shows flashbacks from Joe's previous life of crime in a jarring contrast with his current loving dad-of-two persona. In one scene, he receives a call from an old acquaintance (The Good Place's Kirby Howell-Baptiste) who informs him someone is coming for them.

The group realise it may be time for an unexpected reunion as they'll need to figure out who is targeting them, whilst protecting themselves and the people they love.

"Long before we met, I did bad things," Joe tells his partner in the trailer, and it sure seems like someone is determined to make him pay a high price for it.

The series is created by filmmaker J Blakeson, best known for I Care A Lot and The Disappearance of Alice Creed, with The Undoing and The Night Manager's Stephen Garrett serving as executive producer.

Alongside Stewart-Jarrett and Howell-Baptiste, Culprits also stars Gemma Arterton (The King's Man, Summerland), Niamh Algar (Censor, Raised by Wolves), Ned Dennehy (The Peripheral, Good Omens), Tara Abboud (Amira, Rebel) and Eddie Izzard (Victoria and Abdul, Six Minutes to Midnight).

Culprits will become available to stream on Disney+ in the UK on November 8.
