"We turned it around in 24 hours," New York-based interior designer and House Beautiful Next Wave star Ariel Okin tells us. At the start of December, she was one of 16 designers to unveil a festive setup in Serena & Lily stores across the country, part of the brand's Holiday House concept. From the Kemble Interiors pink holiday twist in Palm Beach to Linda Hayslett's cool, California Christmas at the Pacific Palisades location, these holiday makeovers are next-level.

No, we don't mean over-the-top and holiday heavy. The expertly designed spaces are effortlessly charming and made up of casual Christmas decor you can keep up all year long. Click through these storefronts and you'll realize just how far simple, festive tapered candles can go.

And when it comes to color, gone are the days of sticking with traditional red and green or even white and gold palettes. The lesson here is, you don't have to change your aesthetic to fit your celebration. Whether it's coastal, traditional, minimalist, or whatever your style may be, these rooms prove that bringing the holidays home is easier than you think. For instance, instead of changing out all your throw pillows to scream Christmas, consider simply matching them with a neutral pine cone wreath like in Rayman Boozer's Summit, New Jersey, transformation. Not only is the statement piece on sale (along with tons of up to 70% off clearance items), but it also goes with everything and can transition into any season in case you don't want to take it down.

"I love blue and green together, which are unexpected colors for the holidays," Okin says. We couldn't agree more. If you ask us, green is basically a holiday neutral and makes a solid foundation for any holiday design. Luckily, there are plenty of Serena & Lily garlands to olive-colored wallpaper you'll get inspired to fill your home with this month.

As you continue browsing through the holiday houses, Okin makes one final point and reveals that the one staple she and the other designers recommend investing in is hands down a Christmas tree skirt or collar.
