UNH men's hockey, men's soccer teams prevail

Oct. 8—The UNH men's hockey team rallied from a 3-1 third-period deficit to force overtime, then used sophomore forward Liam Devlin's overtime goal to beat Clarkson 4-3 in an opener Friday night in Potsdam, New York.

The goal came on the power play, with 56.5 seconds remaining in the overtime.

Cy LeClerc, a freshman from Brentwood, Nick Cafarelli and Chase Stevenson also scored for the Wildcats, with Stevenson's tying goal coming at the 7:13 mark of the third.

Senior goalie David Fessenden made 28 saves, to 33 for the Golden Knights' Ethan Haider.

UNH played the second game of its North Country swing on Saturday night at St. Lawrence.

UNH soccer team wins, 1-0Gustavo Rodriguez scored at the 76:57 mark to allow the UNH men's soccer team past NJIT 1-0 on Saturday in Jersey City, New Jersey. Jassem Koleilat made one save for the shutout.

The Wildcats improved to 7-3 overall, 3-0 in America East.
