LOUISVILLE – UnHitched Brewing Co. is collaborating with Umbrella Alley to release Rae of Sunshine, a beer honoring the late Raeann Guiley.

Guiley, who passed away last June after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, was part of the team that transformed the space that is now Umbrella Alley, which serves as a focal point for many community events.

“With Raeann’s vibrant personality, unmatched sales skills and endless smile, she created a committee and started making contacts, obtaining donations and researching supplies," said Adam Longacre, owner of UnHitched Brewing. "As word spread of this amazing art attraction, the concept grew to include chalking events, painted murals, music events, winter scenes, Second Fridays and so much more. Many people describe Umbrella Alley using words such as fun, vibrant, colorful and happy. All those words also describe Raeann perfectly.”

Umbrella Alley has been a popular spot since opening in 2020, bringing in people from more than 10 countries and more than 30 states for photo opportunities and events. It has helped, and continues to help, other businesses nearby.

Guiley's hard work and infectious personality inspired many volunteers and businesses to help make Umbrella Alley a reality.

“With the release of Rae of Sunshine by UnHitched Brewing Co., her legacy of bringing people together in a happy place will continue in her hometown of Louisville, Ohio,” Longacre said.
