United to pick winter homecoming court

United Local Schools will celebrates its Winter Homecoming with a dance at 8 p.m. Saturday at the school.

The junior class is sponsoring the event, which has “Winter Wonderland” as its theme.

The school’s winter homecoming court will be announced at Friday’s home game against Leetonia. Stefani Thompson and Keaton Baker, who served as winter queen and king, will crown this year’s royalty.

The following students are on the 2022 winter court:

FRESHMEN – Attendant Olivia Hardgrove, escorted by Zachary Figley. Hardgrove is the daughter of Marsha and Fritz Roth. Her activities include volleyball, track, Ruriteens and Spanish Club. Figley is the son of Fred and Bailey Figley. His activities include soccer, track and Spanish Club.

SOPHOMORES – Attendant Kylie Stoffer, escorted by Garrett McIntosh. Stoffer is the daughter of Chad and Michelle Stoffer. Her activities include soccer, track, American Sign Language Club and Ruriteens. McIntosh is the son of John and Jessica McIntosh. His activities include football and baseball.

JUNIORS – Attendant Madison Kibler, escorted by Hayden Casto. Kibler is the daughter of Scott and Erin Kibler. Kibler’s activities include varsity basketball, 4-H and AAV Basketball. She also is assistant coach of fourth-grade Lady Eagles basketball. Casto is the son of Jeff and Kelley Casto. His activities include football and track.

Senior attendants are:

• Samantha Benner, escorted by Trenton Mango. The daughter of Nathan and Angela Benner is in National Honor Society, Student Council president, cheerleading and American Sign Language. Mango, son of Brandon and Erin Mango, is in track.

• Allison Brown, escorted by Ward Kiko. The daughter of Jason and Carol Brown has been a varsity cheerleader for three years, a competition cheerleader, in American Sign Language Club and a Ruriteen member. Kiko, the son of Russell and Jodi Kiko, is in football and basketball.

• Jade Watt, escorted by Dante Rapp. Watt is the daughter of David and Jennifer Watt. She is cross country captain, and in cheerleading, track and dance at TGS Dance Studio. Rapp is the son of Steve and Sheena Abel. His activities are baseball, soccer, choir and Ruriteens.

• Sydney Young, escorted by Parker Berdine. Young is the daughter of Tom and Connie Young. Her activities are National Honor Society, a class officer, in cheerleading and Student Council. Berdine is the son of Troy and Kimberly Berdine. His activities are golf, basketball, baseball and Ruriteens.
