United Plane Experiences Engine Failure, Scatters Debris Near Denver

The plane was headed to Denver from Honolulu. Parts from the Boeing 777 scattered around a neighborhood about 25 miles from the airport.

- --also breaking, a scare for neighbors and passengers on a United Airlines flight from Denver to Honolulu this afternoon. These are parts from a Boeing 777 seven scattered around the neighborhood about 25 miles from the airport. The FAA says the plane's right engine failed shortly after takeoff.

The plane made a safe return to Denver International Airport. No one was hurt on the ground or in the plane. United says there were 231 passengers and crew members on board. Investigators are now trying to figure out what went wrong.
