United Presbyterian welcomes new pastor

Oct. 2—Oct. 15 will be a momentous day for the congregation of United Presbyterian Church when the church installs the Rev. Mike O'Neil as its new pastor.

United Presbyterian welcomed O'Neil to Greenville in August along with his wife, Christine, and daughter, Grace, from West Virginia.

Grace is a new student at TCU in Fort Worth where her father grew up.

O'Neil graduated from Austin College and Columbia Theological Seminary. He also has his Master of Arts from Regent College.

The public is invited to attend his installation and to visit with Rev O'Neil after the service.

United Presbyterian Church supports many community causes including Hunt County Shared Ministries, Lake Area Shared Ministries, Senior Resource Center Warmth Drive, Women in Need, Raffa Clinic, GISD Teacher Supply Closet, Children's Advocacy Center, Boys and Girls Club, Bowie Elementary School, Bras for the Cause, CASA and Spirit of Giving.

The church has a Little Food Pantry in front of campus to help those in need. In addition to local causes they support Goodland Academy and Angaza Nu Ru, a school in Africa.
