United We Stand Summit working to prevent hate-fueled violence

The White House hosted a summit Thursday as part of an effort to prevent hate-fueled violence. The family of Army 2nd Lt. Richard Collins III knows all too well the pain of losing a loved one. Collins, 23, was killed in a racist attack in 2017 on the University of Maryland-College Park's campus. Collins' parents were among the people who took part in the White House's United We Stand Summit. They were selected for the community work done in their son's name.
