Universal Orlando offers 2024 Military Freedom Pass. Who can get it, what it includes

The Military Freedom Pass is back again for another year, allowing military members and their families to score a deal on a Universal Orlando vacation.

Universal Orlando Resort is honoring active duty and retired military members with the 2024 Military Freedom Pass, as well as other special exclusive offers.

The pass gives military personnel and their families access to Universal’s theme parks every day starting on Nov. 16 until Dec. 20 of 2024 with limited blockout dates, special vacation packages and discounts at Universal Orlando hotels.

Universal Studios Orlando is at 6000 Universal Blvd. in Orlando.

What are the requirements for the 2024 Military Freedom Pass?

According to Universal's website, those eligible for the offer are:

  • Active or retired U.S. military-active duty, National Guard, Reservists, U.S. Coast Guard (with valid military ID)

  • 100% service-connected disability (with valid DoD issued military ID)

  • Spouses of eligible service members

  • DOD civilian employees

How much is the 2024 Military Freedom Pass?

The Military Freedom Pass comes in two-park and three-park versions.

The two-park ticket allows access to Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

The three-park ticket can be used for the above parks and also Volcano Bay.

The prices for each pass are:

  • Two-park Freedom Pass – $210

  • Three-park Freedom Pass – $245

Do I have to buy a pass for each of my family members?

No, you do not. Those eligible may purchase a pass and then activate up to six family members during the offer period.

Where can I purchase the 2024 Military Freedom Pass?

The can be purchased at your local base's Information, Tickets, and Tours Office. The pass cannot be purchased at Universal Orlando ticket windows, through its website or by a travel agent.

If you don’t have a local base where you can purchase tickets, travel website Touring Plans explains you can order them online from Patrick SFB ITT,  Shades of Green, or over the phone from Camp Pendleton ITT.

Can I purchase the pass as a holiday or birthday gift?

These tickets are not for gifting.

According to Universal's website, the military sponsor, whether member or spouse, has to be with their guests on their first day of use of the 2024 Military Freedom Pass tickets, as they will need to walk them through the turnstile with military ID.

Are there any blockout dates for the 2024 Military Freedom Pass?

Yes, there are. The Freedom Pass blockout dates are:

  • Dec. 25, 2023, through and including Jan. 2, 2024

  • March 25, 2024, through and including March 31, 2024

Does the 2024 Military Freedom Pass include free parking or discounted food prices like an annual pass?

The Freedom Pass does not include any discounts on dining or parking.

What are the vacation packages available with the 2024 Military Freedom Pass?

Military members and their families can take their Universal Orlando vacation to the next level with two package options: the Military Create Your Own Vacation Package or The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Exclusive Military Vacation Package.

Both packages come complete with the Military Freedom Pass, allowing guests to visit all year. The customizable Military Create Your Own Vacation Package includes:

  • Hotel accommodations at one of the Universal Orlando hotels or other participating hotels

  • Three-park Military “Freedom Pass” ticket to Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay on the same day

  • Early park admission to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and Universal Volcano Bay up to one hour before they open to the general public

Do veterans get a discounted rate at any of the Universal hotels?

Military members and their families are eligible to receive a discounted rate at select Universal Orlando hotels, including up to 40% off their room rate at Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort and Universal’s Aventura Hotel. Additional discounts are also offered at the other six Universal Orlando hotels.

By staying at a Universal hotel, military members and their families can enjoy exclusive theme park benefits like early park admission, complimentary transportation across the destination and more.

What should I know after I purchase my pass?

Passes are inactive when purchased. They can be activated at any Universal Pass Sales window with a valid ID presented by the military member or military spouse.

A military member or spouse must accompany the party to the Pass Sales window for first activation of the passes, and use one of the tickets.
