BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) _ Universal Stainless & Alloy Products Inc. (USAP) on Wednesday reported a fourth-quarter loss of $7.3 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Bridgeville, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 83 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 52 cents per share.

The specialty steel maker posted revenue of $31.3 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported a loss of $19 million, or $2.16 per share, swinging to a loss in the period. Revenue was reported as $179.7 million.

Universal Stainless shares have increased slightly since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 45% in the last 12 months.
