Universal Orlando has added singer-songwriter Tauren Wells to the roster for next year’s Rock the Universe, a Christian-music festival at Universal Studios theme park.

“Joy in the Morning,” Wells’ fourth album, was released earlier this year and includes the single “Fake It.” He has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards since 2018. He won two GMA Dove Awards in 2020 as contemporary Christian artist of the year and pop contemporary album (”Citizen of Heaven”) and won for pop/contemporary recorded song of the year (”Famous For [I Believe]”) in 2021.

Rock the Universe is scheduled for Jan. 27-29. Wells will be part of the Friday night lineup, which also includes Skillet, Rend Collective, Bethel Music, Evan Craft and Katy Nichole. Saturday’s performers will be Zach William, Matthew West, Anne Wilson, Dante Brown, We are Messengers and Cain.

The event concludes with a Sunday morning worship service at the resort.

Tickets are now on sale, with options that include daytime theme park admission, multiday tickets and express lanes for attractions. For more information or purchases, go to rocktheuniverse.com.
