The University of Michigan's sports teams will wear special Spartans decals during upcoming games to honor the victims of the Michigan State University shooting that killed three and injured five Monday.

Softball and hockey helmets with stickers of the MSU logo were shared to social media by U-M Athletics on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the victims, Alexandria Verner, 20, was an all-state softball player and league MVP in basketball and volleyball during her senior year at Clawson High School.

A science teacher for Clawson Public Schools responded to U-M Athletics' tweet, stating, "such an appropriate choice of helmets, as Al wore 24 for our softball team here at Clawson."
