Univest officially opens first Pittsburgh financial center

Some 13 months after Univest announced plans to enter Pittsburgh, the region’s newest bank has brought on 16 team members, including seven at its financial center in Cranberry Township.

Univest recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the facility at 51 Dutilh Road, which technically opened in February. The leadership team from its Souderton headquarters in eastern Pennsylvania, including Mike Keim, president of Univest Bank and Trust Co., joined Chris Trombetta, Western Pennsylvania market president, and the local staff, as well as representatives from Cranberry Township and Butler County. The event corresponded with a similar one in Baltimore, a market Univest entered simultaneously.

Univest (NYSE:UVSP), which has $7.4 billion in assets, operates more than 50 offices.
