Unwrapped MKE

SHARP Literacy will hold its spring edition of “Unwrapped” in Milwaukee at 3rd Street Market Hall on May 19.

Using core ingredients from McDonald’s, the chefs were asked to prepare gourmet bites reminiscent of iconic Milwaukee foods, and here is the menu they created: Wisconsin Beer Cheeseburger Soup by Chef Angela Rondinelli of Downtown Kitchen; a Jerked McChicken Rice Roll by Chef Jason Alston of Heaven’s Table BBQ; MKE BBQ Grape Jelly Meatballs with Potato Purée by Chefs Andrew Koser and Lauren D’Amico of A to Z Dinners; a BBQ Tempeh Sandwich, inspired by the classic McRib sandwich, by Chef Jordan Wollin of On The Bus and Make Waves; an Americana Apple Cobbler with Strawberry Caramel Sauce & Candied Bacon by Chef Sarah Mironczuk of Bakehouse23MKE; and Savory Chicken Bread Pudding with Caramelized Apples and Onion Compote by Chefs Brian Taborski and Alex Thorson of Saz’s Hospitality Group.

Money raised goes to SHARP'S STEAM-based learning efforts. Individual tickets for the event are $100 and may be purchased online at Unwrapped22.givesmart.com
