The event is 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 20 in First Bank Expo Hall at the Wayne County Fairgrounds, 861 Salisbury Road, according to a news release. Doors will close at 5:15 p.m. to ensure all veterans are helped. The event is free.

Vendors expected include ASPIN, Dot Foods, Primex, Indiana Legal Services, Indiana Department of Veteran Affairs and the Dayton, Ohio, VA.

“A small idea nine years ago with no budget has blossomed into what is probably the largest event of this kind in Eastern Indiana,” said Brian Rea, disabled veterans outreach program specialist for Eastern Indiana Works WorkOne. “Allof a sudden, we had partners and businesses wanting to help out and donating their services. That’s a positive community at work.”

This event is organized and sponsored by WorkOne Region 6 guided by Eastern Indiana Works, Whitewater Broadcasting, VFW Post 1108, Harrington Hoch, and Infinit Print Solutions.
