UPL club Kryvbas releases anti-Russia statement after Kryvyi Rih attack

The players of Ukrainian Premier League club FC Kryvbas have emotionally condemned Russia’s missile strike on their home city of Kryvyi Rih on July 31, an attack that killed four and injured 33 at the time of publishing, including children.

The club published a social media post reminding its fans around the world that Russia was recognized by the EU "as a state sponsor of terrorism and as a state which uses means of terrorism.”

"31/07/23. We'll never forgive. We hate you all," the message reads.

The club’s players are well known for their patriotic sentiments. In June of this year, they released a song inspired by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, guerrillas who fought against both Soviet occupation and the Nazi Third Reich from 1942-1956.
