UPMC expands cancer operations into Croatia

UPMC International is expanding into a new country, Croatia, with what is likely to become a group of cancer centers.

The Pittsburgh-based health system announced Monday that it was in a partnership with Dr. Dragan Primorac of St. Catherine Specialty Hospital for one and likely a series of medical and radiation oncology centers.

UPMC will manage the cancer centers under the terms of the joint venture, and they will be integrated into UPMC Hillman Cancer Center.
