Upper St. Clair School District approves new start times for students

The Upper St. Clair School District has approved new start times for students.

Going forward, high school will start at 8 a.m., elementary school will start at 8:35 a.m. and middle school will start at 8:55 a.m.

The district said the change is “based on a growing body of scientific evidence that supports the importance of adequate sleep for the overall well-being and academic success of students.”

The new start times will go into effect at the beginning of the 2023-24 school year.
