UPS employees accused of stealing items from packages at work

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Two men are in jail tonight accused of stealing while on the job at UPS.

Court documents say cell phones and even an apple watch were taken out of packages by the two men and put into the their personal bags.

The value of all of the items stolen totaled more than $33,000.

Antwan Lashon Mayberry and Jaelen Malik Frazier were arrested while at their job at UPS.

Court documents say for more than two weeks, security cameras caught them opening packages and putting them in their backpacks.

They were stopped as they were trying to leave one day and police were called. That day, officers found 36 cell phones in those backpacks.

During a search warrant of their homes, more cell phones were found as well as an Apple Watch and two bundles of cash.

Court documents say Jaelen admitted to selling the phones he was stealing to make extra cash.

Police are working with UPS to get the stolen items back to where they belong.
