Countdown to Kindergarten is 5 – 7 p.m. on Magnolia Street in front of TCMU-Spartanburg. Admission is free, but RSVP is highly encouraged. The event is open to families with rising 3K, 4K and 5K children and is an opportunity to connect with community partners focused on student success and childhood development. TCMU-Spartanburg will also host a variety of activities – from learning how to use a lunch tray to mock classrooms – geared at preparing young learners for their first school experience. South Carolina Autism Society will provide a free “chill out zone” for kids with sensory needs who need a break during the event.
