Upstate high school football stars who shined at 2022 Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas
At the 86th annual Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, the Upstate was well represented with top senior high school football prospects heavily contributing to South Carolina's 17-13 win over North Carolina on Saturday.
Three of the game's four TDs came in the second half at Spartanburg High School.
Both teams traded the lead throughout the game. After North Carolina took a 13-10 lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter, South Carolina responded by going on a 12-play, 78-yard touchdown drive that took 6:48 off the clock and proved to be the game-winner.

Markee Anderson, Dorman OL
Anderson, a South Carolina commit, was the team's starting left tackle. The offense outgained North Carolina by 117 yards.
Tyler Brown, Greenville WR
Brown, a Clemson commit, hooked up with South Florence quarterback and Syracuse commit LaNorris Sellers for a 55-yard touchdown that gave South Carolina a 10-7 lead in the third quarter.
DJ Geth, Dorman OL
Geth, a UNC commit, played most of the game for South Carolina at right tackle opposite Anderson.
Brayshawn Littlejohn, Gaffney LB
Littlejohn, a Missouri commit, made key plays for the South Carolina defense, including a sack, a tackle for loss, two total tackles, and a blocked extra point attempt, while playing most of the game at the outside linebacker position for a defense that held North Carolina to just 182 yards.
Noah Quinn, Broome LB
Quinn led all Upstate-area defenders in tackles for the South Carolina defense with four in total, including 0.5 for a loss.
Bryce Smith, Daniel OL
Like Anderson and Geth, Smith played a majority of the game on the South Carolina offensive line at left guard.
