Urbana Park District to reopen aquatic center after HVAC repairs

URBANA, Ill. (WCIA) — After several weeks of repair, Urbana residents can soon dive back into the city’s indoor pool.

The Urbana Park District has announced on social media that on Tuesday afternoon workers have repaired the HVAC unit at the Indoor Aquatic Center. The pool will be open Wednesday for lap swim, water exercise, swim lessons and rentals, officials said.

“Thank you for your patience as we grappled with these repairs,” the park district said in a Facebook post.

The indoor pool has been closed since January 29.
