Uros Plavsic called for Flagrant 1 foul during FAU's big 2nd half run vs. Tennessee basketball
Tennessee basketball got an unfortunate Flagrant 1 foul on Uros Plavsic at exactly the wrong time in Thursday's Sweet 16 game against Florida Atlantic.
Plavsic was called for a Flagrant 1 foul with 7:22 left after an apparent shoulder into the chest of FAU center Vladislav Goldin.
The action occurred with under 8 minutes to play as the two were jockeying for rebounding position. FAU's Alijah Martin hit a 3-pointer on the play to cap a 15-2 run and earn the Owls a 48-41 lead.

Goldin split the two free throws, and the Owls retained possession.
TBS rules analyst Gene Steratore, a former college basketball official who is more well-known as a former NFL referee, disagreed with the call. But the TV broadcast was fixated on the contact before, when a missed Tennessee shot had both centers absorbing contact.
