“More than 60 American Bradleys heading to Ukraine after leaving Charleston, South Carolina, last week,” Tomlinson said in a Twitter post.

On Jan. 6, the United States announced a $3 billion military aid package for Ukraine, which included at least 50 Bradley IFVs.

The Pentagon later specified Kyiv is getting Bradley M2A2 ODS variant, which was developed in the wake of Operation Desert Storm, and includes a range of improvements to the vehicle’s navigation and target acquisition systems.

U.S. Department of Defense spokesman Pat Ryder described Bradley as a “tank killer.”

Ukrainian Military Intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov said Ukraine is “eagerly awaiting” for thee IFVs to be delivered, as they would substantially increase the combat effectiveness of its units.
