Earlier on May 25, Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko stated that Russia had begun transferring nuclear weapons into Belarus.

On March 25, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin stated that he planned to place tactical nuclear weapons on Belarusian territory, ostensibly in response to the UK providing Ukraine with depleted uranium tank shells.

According to Moscow, ten Belarusian aircraft have already been converted for the use of tactical nuclear weapons. Putin also stated that by July 1, the construction of a storage facility for tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus would be completed.
