Donald Trump reportedly plans to restart campaign-style rallies to boost support for his unfounded claims the US election was stolen from him, even as his advisers and personal lawyer clash behind the scene about whether he should simply concede defeat.
Joe Biden, meanwhile, is to convene a Covid-19 task force meeting today with former top officials. He and Kamala Harris have named coronavirus as one of four top issues to address in their transition to power.
During his victory speech in Wilmington, Delaware on Saturday night, Mr Biden reached out to Mr Trump’s supporters, urging: “Let’s give each other a chance and stop treating each other like enemies. We are not enemies. We are Americans. This is the time to heal.”
