US investor Howard Buffett travels to Kyiv, meets with Zelensky

“Glad to meet Howard Buffett in Kyiv; we appreciate this signal of solidarity with Ukraine,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky also expressed his gratitude for Buffett’s involvement in humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

“Invited him to join projects on restoring irrigation systems in Odesa Oblast, supporting IDPs, minesweeping, and school nutrition reform,” the president added.

Buffett chairs an eponymous foundation that focuses on issues of biodiversity and global food security. He is known to be personally involved in choosing in which projects the foundation invests.

Over the last decade, the Howard G. Buffett Foundation financed numerous agricultural projects in Africa.
