US Marines Reinforce Southern California Border With Mexico

The Department of Defense said US Marines helped US Customs and Border Protection agents to lay barbed wire along the US border with Mexico border in California, on November 9, ahead of the expected arrival of groups of migrants from Central America.

The wire was laid along the border near the San Ysidro Port of Entry in San Diego. Troops arrived in California on Thursday, with roughly 1,300 soldiers assigned to support operations along the California-Mexico border, San Diego Union-Tribune reported. Credit: Department of Defense via Storyful
