US News & World Report ranks the TTUHSC School of Nursing among best online programs for 2024

Feb. 13—The TTUHSC School of Nursing ranked No. 8 for the best online graduate program in the Veteran's Graduate Nursing field. U.S. News & World Report Online College rankings rank the best online programs for veterans, measuring veteran or active-duty enrollment in the program.

The TTUHSC School of Nursing offers an accelerated track for veterans with prior military medical training and experience to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The Veteran to BSN track is open to veterans from all branches of the service and is designed to give veterans credit for their armed forces service. This accelerated 12- month track has online classes with clinical instruction guided by assigned clinical coaches and nursing clinical faculty.

The School of Nursing also was ranked No. 36 out of 186 online Master's programs. The Accelerated Second Degree in Nursing program is designed for the student with a previous college bachelor's degree. An accelerated 12-month process, this nursing program has online classes with clinical instruction guided by assigned clinical coaches and nursing clinical faculty.

"Our School of Nursing is dedicated to creating new, innovative routes for students to complete their education," TTUHSC School of Nursing Dean Holly Wei said in a news release. "These rankings reflect the outstanding nursing programs at this university, but most importantly, the quality education and training provided by our faculty that allows our nursing students to succeed in a competitive field."

The U.S. News & World Report rankings released Feb. 7 assessed more than 1,700 online degree programs. The program rankings are based on scores from five categories — student engagement, services and technologies, student excellence, faculty credentials and training and opinions of academic experts.
