US Planes Carrying Aid Arrive Near Venezuela Border

The US Air Force delivered humanitarian aid to Cucuta, Colombia, near the Venezuelan border, on February 16, that it said was intended to be distributed by relief organizations in Venezuela.

Venezuela’s president Nicolás Maduro had refused to allow US aid to enter the country; however, opposition leader Juan Guaido said he would announce on February 18 plans to distribute the aid into Venezuela, Reuters reported. Credit: US Air Force via Storyful
