US reportedly agreed to provide Ukraine with long-range missiles

The source revealed that Biden and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had reportedly discussed strategies to expedite an end to the ongoing war unleashed by Russia, with a goal of reaching a resolution this year.

As part of the effort, Biden reportedly gave his preliminary consent to the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with missiles capable of striking targets up to 220 kilometers away.

“The Americans are aware that the front lines and rear positions are separated by a significant distance, particularly when considering Crimea,” the source explained.

“Therefore, we can count on receiving missiles with a range of at least 220 km, and possibly even more. The primary concern now is logistics, including delivery methods, types of missiles, and how they will be used. However, these issues will be resolved.”

Additionally, the source indicated that while the Biden administration has not completely ruled out the possibility of supplying F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, the topic is still under negotiation.

"The situation here is as was the case with tanks,” our interlocutor said, referring to months-long reluctance of Kyiv’s Western partners to supply modern tanks, before finally making a series of corresponding decisions in early 2023.

“But the most important thing is that the taboo they had on providing Ukraine with weapons is no longer existent. Of course, this does not include missiles with nuclear warheads or other weapons of mass destruction.”
