'Give us the resurrection' of George Floyd -Sharpton

Sharpton, arms locked with family members and eyes closed, said, "We went through the crucifixion of Floyd, give us the resurrection through this jury."

Rev. Jesse Jackson and civil rights attorney Ben Crump were also in attendance.

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin is being tried for allegedly killing Floyd last May while he was in police custody.

Although prosecutor Steve Schleicher emphasized to jurors that they were weighing the guilt of one man and not a system, the verdict is expected to be seen as a reckoning of the way the United States polices Black people.
