US sent dozens of Bradley infantry fighting vehicles to Ukraine

Footage in the command’s tweet shows the loading of a batch of several dozen fighting vehicles onto a ship in the Port of Charleston, South Carolina.

Currently, Ukrainian soldiers are undergoing training on Bradley IFVs in Germany.

On Jan. 6, the United States announced a $3 billion military aid package for Ukraine, which included at least 50 Bradley IFVs.

The Pentagon later specified Kyiv is getting the Bradley M2A2 ODS variant, which was developed in the wake of Operation Desert Storm, and includes a range of improvements to the vehicle’s navigation and target acquisition systems.

U.S. Department of Defense spokesman Pat Ryder described Bradley as a “tank killer.”

Ukrainian Military Intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov said Ukraine is “eagerly awaiting” for the IFVs to be delivered, as they would substantially increase the combat effectiveness of its units.
