USC men’s basketball to host charity exhibition game. Here are the details

South Carolina men’s basketball will start its season with a charity exhibition game with Wofford College, the program announced Tuesday afternoon.

The Nov. 1 game at Colonial Life Arena will benefit the Maui Strong Fund, an organization that brings financial assistance to families and businesses affected by wildfires in Maui, Hawaii earlier this summer. Tickets for the game will be available for $10, and seating is available at the 100 level (lower bowl).

Collegiate basketball programs around the country are hosting charity exhibition games to benefit the Maui Strong Fund, including Kansas and Illinois.

Head coach Lamont Paris said there are multiple connections to the Maui Invitational on his staff, and wanted to put in the effort to host a charity game before the season began. Prior to the announcement, South Carolina had an available exhibition stop on its schedule open after announcing its non-conference schedule in September.

South Carolina opens its regular season at home against USC Upstate on Nov. 6.
