USC men’s basketball podcast looks at Trojans’ rise, Pac-12 bubble calculus, NCAA Tournament odds

The USC men’s basketball team has a homestand against the Washington schools this week. The end of the Trojans’ regular-season schedule will be brutal, with the Mountain road trip and the Arizona homestand providing a stiff challenge. USC needs to handle its business against the Washington schools, Oregon State, and then the Bay Area schools over the next three weeks.

USC’s win over UCLA means that the Trojans should be good for the NCAA Tournament if they win the games they are supposed to win. They would love to get more high-end wins, but as long as they avoid bad losses, they will be in solid shape.

With this in mind, we discussed the Trojans’ NCAA Tournament position, the larger Pac-12 bubble reality, and the evolution of this USC team on our latest Trojans: Wired podcast. It’s an exciting time to be a fan of USC basketball with the Trojans trying to put both their men’s and women’s teams in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1997.
