USCGC Eagle joins USS Constitution for free visits this weekend

The USCGC Eagle is docked alongside USS Constitution for the weekend at the Charlestown Navy Yard in Charlestown, Massachusetts. The Eagle will be open to the public to visit for free on Friday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Free public tours aboard Eagle for active-duty military and first responders will be available from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. USCGC Eagle is the flagship of the U.S. Coast Guard and serves as a training vessel for cadets at the Coast Guard Academy and candidates from the Officer Candidate School. USS Constitution is open to free public visitation Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the USS Constitution Museum is open to the public every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The USS Constitution is the world's oldest commissioned warship afloat. It played a crucial role in the Barbary Wars and the War of 1812, actively defending sea lanes from 1797 to 1855.
