If value for money is what you look for in your performance car, there is perhaps no better option out there right now than a used Camaro Z/28. Chevy built a handful of them a few years back, and while they remain relatively rare, prices for used examples are about half what the car cost new.

When the Z/28 came out, it was Chevy's most track-focused Camaro to date. It was the first time Multimatic's race-derived DSSV dampers were used on a road car. There were also carbon-ceramic brakes, working aerodynamics, a partially stripped-out interior, ultra-sticky tires, and the 505-horsepower LS7 V-8 from the C6-generation Z06.

This 2015 example painted in black recently popped up for sale on eBay, and it's arguably—as we've said before—the most performance you can get for $35,000 right now. Best of all, it has both the air conditioning and stereo option boxes checked—something you don't see on most other cheap Z/28s. The price represents a $41,000 loss in value from the MSRP after five years and 32,000 miles.

The car isn't perfect. It had its driver door repainted after some minor damage, and wears a set of less aggressive Ventus V12 Evo tires in place of the OEM Pirellis. We'd recommend buying a second set of wheels with some track tires and swap them on when you really need them.

The car is listed on eBay right now for $35,000 or best offer in Addison, Illinois. If you're in the market, we'd recommend moving in quickly. There's no telling when another one will pop up with the right options for this price.
