USM Pitcher Tanner Hall wins Ferriss Trophy
He went from a midweek starter, to getting the nod of Friday nights and after showing up big in conference play Tanner Hall is now regarded as the best baseball player in Mississippi for the 2022 season. Hall, a sophomore right handed pitcher for Southern Miss, led Conference USA with 120 strikeouts. He's walked 10 batters all year. His strikeout to walk ratio is second in the entire country. The Louisiana native is the fourth Golden Eagle to take home the Ferris Trophy.
