USMNT reveals its 2022 World Cup roster. Here's who will go to Qatar

U.S. men's national soccer team goalkeeper Zack Steffen, forward Ricardo Pepi and forward Paul Arriola headlined a slew of surprising omissions on the USMNT 2022 World Cup roster revealed Wednesday.

Coach Gregg Berhalter named his 26-man roster that will be on the plane to Qatar for the unprecedented fall-winter World Cup held between Nov. 18 - Dec. 21.

In addition to expected key contributors Christian Pulisic, Tyler Adams, Yunus Musah and Weston McKennie, there were unexpected members that include Seattle Sounders attackers Jordan Morris and Cristian Roldan, as well as Luton Town goalkeeper Ethan Horvath and Antalyaspor striker Haji Wright.

Nashville SC center back Walker Zimmerman and right back Shaq Moore were also named to the 26-man roster.

The United States' group-stage games will be Monday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m. CT vs. Wales; Friday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. CT vs. England; and Tuesday, Nov. 29, at 1 p.m. CT vs. Iran.
