USM's Chandler Pittman overcomes first major hurdle to return to the field

Rising sophomore running back Chandler Pittman wants to come back to form for the Golden Eagles this Fall. He flashed as a freshman scoring a touchdown against Alabama on the road and was on the way to have an impactful season. But in October he suffered a torn ACL. It was the first major injury for Pittman who was a two-way star for the Magee Trojans. He helped them end a 20 year drought and came to USM as a state champion. After 9 months of rehab he's ready to pick up where he left off for Southern Miss and continue to flash for the Golden Eagles who are entering year two under Will Hall.
