USPS Ada To Host A Job Fair

Oct. 18—The United States Postal Service is currently hiring motivated individuals to join our mission of service as a member of the USPS delivery team as a Rural Carrier Associate (RCA). To assist potential applicants, the Ada Post Office is hosting a job fair Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Ada Post Office, 131 E. 12th in downtown Ada.

Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions about the RCA position. An RCA may be eligible to receive health benefits and promotion to a career opportunity. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy staying active and working independently outdoors. The position offers starting pay of $19.94 per hour, and could be the first step to a long-term rewarding career at the Postal Service.

In this role, successful applicants will:

—Deliver and collect packages on routes in rural areas weekdays/weekends/holidays

—Provide a variety of services to customers along an assigned route

—Sort, lift and push moderate to heavy loads of mail and packages to prepare for delivery

—Deliver mail along an assigned route

—Pick up or collect mail from customers

—Sell stamps, money orders or other services

—Work indoors and outdoors in all weather: rain, snow, cold and heat
