USS Indianapolis Survivor Cleatus Lebow laid to rest in Memphis, Texas

World War II veteran and USS Indianapolis survivor Cleatus Lebow was laid to rest Sunday at a ceremony held in Memphis, Texas, honoring his life and military service. In attendance were his three children, Jerry Lebow, Sonja Rosson and Cleata Ann Crutchfield, along with friends and family.

Lebow was 98 years old at the time of his death was one of two remaining survivors of the USS Indianapolis attack that happened July 30, 1945, which had only 316 men surviving the attack. Lebow met with Harold Bray the other remaining shipmate, for the last time at the 75th Anniversary USS Indianapolis Reunion in May held in Fredericksburg.
