Idaho skies will be lit on July 4. Here’s where to watch fireworks in Boise and beyond

The Fourth of July is Tuesday, and every American knows what that means.

The Treasure Valley will be celebrating with fireworks, parades and more. Some mountain cities will be throwing down, too, in case you want to get out of town for a bit of an extra-long weekend.

Here’s a look at some of the available activities.

Boise

4th of July Parade: Veteran Entrepreneur Alliance breakfast at 7 a.m. at Cecil D. Andrus Park and parade at 10 a.m. Tuesday, 11th and Jefferson streets (start/finish point). Route: east on Jefferson, south on 4th, west on Bannock, north on 11th. The parade announcers are none other than former Gov. Butch Otter and first lady Lori Otter. This is the first Fourth parade in Boise since 2019. boise4th.com.

City of Boise Fourth of July Celebration: Festivities begin at 6 p.m. with a fireworks show at dusk (around 10:15 p.m.) Tuesday at Ann Morrison Park, 1000 S. Americana Blvd., Boise. In addition to the fireworks show, food and drink (including beer) will be sold at the park. The new interactive fountain will feature a red, white and blue-themed LED light show and water sequence. Attendees won’t be able to drive into, or park, at Ann Morrison, and should plan to walk or bike. Garden City

Meridian

Meridian Independence Day Celebration: Food trucks on site starting at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Storey Park, 205 E. Franklin Road. Also, family games, children’s crafts, music by Smooth Avenue. Caldwell

Caldwell Fourth of July: 7 a.m. Tuesday, Caldwell. 1k and 5k fun run (7 a.m., Fairview Golf Course); parade (9 a.m., downtown); celebration (11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Memorial Park) features a car show, vendors, food trucks, more; and fireworks (dusk, Brothers Park). cityofcaldwell.org.

Garden Valley

“Small Town — Big Pride” 4th of July Celebration: Kicks off at 8 a.m. Tuesday with a flag-raising ceremony at Weilmunster Park, Garden Valley. The Garden Valley EMS/Ambulance service hosts a golf tournament, silent auction, and barbecue, all at Terrace Lakes Resort beginning at 9 a.m. Children’s games start at 10 a.m., including the Duck Race (4 p.m.) and the return of the Soap Box Derby races (1 p.m.). Melaleuca Freedom Celebration: Liberty on Parade starts at 9 a.m., Riverfest at noon, and fireworks at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Snake River Landing, Idaho Falls. The parade marches along Boulevard in Downtown Idaho Falls.
